My name is Shane Stone. I am a 1st Lieutenant of the First Division in the American Liberation Front, known to our enemy as "The West". The enemy is the American Republic Army, whom we call "The East". This is The Second American Civil War. My loyalty is based only on the fact that I was on the west side when the war started. I have no allegiance to any flag, because there is no country. There are no countries. Only a planet of war.
My only job is to survive; to protect my wife and only son.
Why?
My mom went to check out an auction at Del Mar (for anyone who lives in San Diego), my brother and I had to go with her. We didn't feel like sitting in a boring auction, so we both sat in the car and drew in our little sketchbooks for roughly 2 to 3 hours. He came up with a comic of his own, I came up with five chapters of this story. It's rather interesting. I had no real concept of what I was making until I started growing up. It was originally just about civil war. Living in the States today you learn a lot more about political biases, parties, ideals, etc. It made making the new storyline much more relevant.
